From this land to families around the world
As owners of Dairy Farmers of America, our members reach beyond their farms and their communities by providing quality dairy ingredients to global customers, partnering with world-class dairy companies to create innovative dairy products and serving as a leader to ensure the U.S. dairy industry its place in the global market.
At our 15th Annual Meeting, we pay homage to the work our members do each day, and showcase how, from this land, we are working together to feed a growing population.
Prior to the start of the Annual Leadership Conference on March 18, DFA members had the opportunity to attend workshops focused on risk management, presented by DFA Risk Management; farm labor, presented by the Rocky Mountain Employers Immigration Alliance; and farm succession planning, presented by Kevin Spafford, Farm Journal columnist and farm succession planning expert.
Nearly 50 vendors are on hand during DFA’s Annual Meeting Expo to speak with attendees about the latest dairy products and services, as well as farming equipment and supplies. In addition, DFA’s Farm Services are represented with friendly staff available to answer questions and let members know more about how DFA’s Farm Services can bring them value and help them farm more profitably and efficiently.
DFA Leadership Conference
Before our industry guests arrive, DFA members had a chance to hear from Cooperative leaders about the business of the Cooperative during this members-only meeting. Senior management, including Mark Korsmeyer, executive vice president of DFA and president of Global Dairy Products Group; Joel Clark, senior vice president of accounting; and David Meyer, senior vice president of finance, gave updates on the Cooperative’s financials and commercial investments, as well as answered member questions. Special guest Bob Engel, president and chief executive officer of CoBank, also discussed how to manage risk and create opportunity in a global economy.
